All that legal stuff! We know it's a pain, but it is also necessary. Click below to access our volunteer waiver form. Well-kept homes strengthen neighborhoods, sustain home values and restore pride. However, illness, age or many other hardships can force people to forgo needed repairs or modifications that allow them to live in a safe and healthy environment. Because we assist low-income homeowners in making these repairs and modifications, volunteers are the backbone of our mission. Our generous volunteers allow us to stretch our resources to assist more clients. Whether you are a professional tradesperson or a weekend warrior or someone who has never worked on a house before, we welcome your involvement. Working with Rebuilding Together staff and volunteers is a great way to learn.
We have both skilled and non-skilled volunteer opportunities available at different times during the year and would love to work with you to match you to a volunteer opportunity to fit your skill set. We can always use volunteers for a variety of tasks including office work, project hospitality, project management, landscaping, painting, and critical home repairs like window and door replacement, siding work, and flooring replacement...to skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing and roofing. Our volunteers help us stretch our financial resources to help as many homeowners as possible. OUR NEW VOLUNTEER CENTER WILL BE COMING SOON! KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR UPDATES.
Calling all church groups, businesses and corporations, professional organizations, civic organizations, school groups, families, friends wanting to make a difference or groups of individuals who simply like to get together to serve others, we can use your skills. We would love to put together a team-building or service day for you! Grow closer together while serving your neighbors right here in your communities in Dodge and Cuming Counties in Nebraska! There is nothing like helping your fellow humans to bring a group of people closer to one another...and you may build a new friendship in the process! Contact us today for more information.
national rebuilding month
APRIL IS NATIONAL REBUILDING MONTH!
National Rebuilding Month is an annual call to service every April, culminating in National Rebuilding Day which is celebrated on the last Saturday. Affiliates in 38 states and the District of Columbia partner with nearly 40,000 volunteers and will serve in more than 1,600 affiliate-led rebuilding projects across the country in a concerted effort to complete repairs on homes, nonprofit facilities, and community spaces.
Specifically, Rebuilding Together, Platte Valley East partners with various groups and individuals every year to complete several different projects during the week leading up to National Rebuilding Day with an emphasis on volunteerism. We would love to host you, your family and friends, your business, your church group, or your civic group during this important celebration of neighbor helping neighbor. Volunteers are needed in many capacities. Don't hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
